Most clients find it comfortable. Soprano's cooling technology helps, and I adjust settings to you as we go. Sensation varies by person and area.

Soprano is designed to treat a wide range of skin tones, and every client is assessed at their consult to confirm they're a good candidate. Laser works best on dark to medium hair. Light, grey, and red hair may not respond.

Laser is a more targeted technology than IPL and generally gives better long-term results.

Soprano Ice Platinum pairs cooling technology with suitability for a wide range of skin tones, so treatments are comfortable and effective. I've had treatments with it myself, and it's the laser I chose to bring into Unfiltered. Most clients go straight back to their day.

Most clients see significant, long-term hair reduction after a full series. Results depend on hair colour, hormones, and genetics, and the number of sessions varies with your hair growth rate, density, and goals. Occasional maintenance sessions may be recommended.

You should avoid exposure to the sun for at least two weeks before the treatment. Any tanned skin should be faded before we begin the treatment. Do not pluck, wax or bleach for 4-6 weeks before/after the treatment.

However do shave the area you want treated 24 hours prior to your appointment.

I request that you shower before your appointment as well.

Contraindications

• Cancer; in particular, skin cancer

• Pregnancy (including IVF)

• Use of photosensitive medication and herbs for which light exposure is contraindicated

• Diseases which may be stimulated by light

• Prolonged exposure to sun or artificial tanning during the 3 to 4 weeks prior the treatment and post

treatment

• Active infection of herpes simplex in the treatment area

• History of keloid scarring

• Diabetes (insulin dependent)

• Fragile and dry skin

• Hormonal disorders (that are stimulated under intense light)

• Use of anticoagulants or history of coagulopathies

• Epilepsy

• Tattoos

• Accutane (concern, not contraindication)

Cold (not frozen) packs may be applied immediately post-treatment to cool the treatment site, reduce swelling and ease discomfort if indicated.

Care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treated area.

For the first four or five days following the treatment: avoid hot baths, excessive exercise, massage, etc.

Exposure to Sunlight: patients should apply high-factor, physical sun protection (SPF>30) and protect the treated area from exposure to direct sunlight for at least 3-4 weeks post-treatment.

Tanning after treatment sessions may enhance melanin regeneration, which may result in hyper-pigmentation.

Makeup may be applied on the day following treatment unless blistering or crusts develop.

Since the skin is sensitive during this period, take special care while removing makeup to avoid damage to the skin, which can predispose the site to infection.

CBD Products to help heal, lighten or tone would support efficacy and safety of hair reduction.

On the day of treatment, since the skin is sensitive during this period, take special care using topical products, if irritation persists, discontinue use.

This session is designed to treat multiple areas in one appointment, prioritizing safe, effective coverage within a 75-minute time frame. Depending on body size, hair density, and treatment needs, key areas are covered first to ensure maximal results.

If additional time is needed beyond the 75-minute window, extra time can be booked at $75 per 30 minutes.

For women, this package includes full body head-to-toe.

For men, this package includes everything above the waist, lower legs (knee-down), and a beard line-up and neck detailing. Intimate areas are not included in this package.

Laser hair removal is a journey, not a one-time treatment. Most clients achieve significant long-term reduction after completing their package, and occasional maintenance sessions may be recommended depending on hormones, genetics, and hair growth. Maintenance is charged at current published rates.

A $100 deposit secures your first session and is applied to your package total. Pay by card, e-transfer, or cash. Packages can be paid in full or in two payments, at sessions 1 and 2. See our Studio Policies for cancellation and rescheduling.

• Full body
  Pay as you go: $399 for one session
  One 75-minute session. Women: head to toe. Men: above the waist, knees down, plus beard line-up and neck. Intimate areas are not included for men.
